Best vocab app ever - This is the first review Ive ever written. This app is awesome! Helps tremendously with examples and pictures of the words. I would recommend it to everyone studying for the GRE.

Great. - Helpful to learn new vocabulary, can play audio, see it visually with an image or hear it used in a sentence. Auto play is great for the car or while running.

Very useful! - You get to associate an easy to remember image to an abstract meaning in this App, which, along with a spoken storyline that goes with each word, showing its pronunciation and various usages helps you fully master new words. I got both the SAT as well as the GRE version.

I love it - I listen to it while driving (although this may not be the smartest idea), its nice that it turns pages automatically. When I go home, I look at the list of words I listened in the car. So far, so good.

VocabAhead provides a full-brain learning approach to understanding and mastering tough English vocabulary for standardized tests such as SAT, ACT and GRE.
There are more than 500 high frequency GRE words in this app. App size is approximately 26MB due to rich graphics and full length mp3 audio for every word.
Vocabulary Words and their definitions go into your long term memory through
- the use of visuals
- high quality audios and
- contextual usage sentences
Not only you hear correct American English pronunciations but you can also hear how the word is to be used in sentences. Humor in cartoons makes it easier to remember the meaning of each word and in addition, makes the whole learning process fun and entertaining.
The Quiz section provides multiple choice questions where choices are generated randomly for reach word. Each correctly answered word is automatically moved to the Mastered List from the list of words in the Dont Know list.
Since the app keeps track of the words you know and those that you dont know, you do not need to worry about managing any lists at all. You just have to learn the words and confirm your learning by taking Quizzes regularly.
Your goal should be to move all the words to the Mastered List by taking quizzes and answering the questions correctly.

I wish this app had been optimized for the wider screen and the latest iOS so that theres no annoying black space on the top and bottom... But I like the way it helps with vocabulary learning.
Best way for all types of leaners to actually learn, memorize, understand and be completely familiar with the challenging vocabulary on the new GRE.

I bought the SAT and GRE versions of this application so that I can construct shorter and more precise sentences at work. I am a technical liaison between software engineers and non technical personnel. Having an extensive vocabulary helps to cut very complex multi-paragraph communications down into short concise sentences. I have been using other iPhone vocabulary apps that I like but the video and audio combination method implemented here seems to be very effective so far. I permanently committed the first 40 words to memory in one day. We have a winner here. The only thing I hope is added in the future is: A) The option to have audio continue with the screen off. B) Some sort of statistics that shows progress somehow based on word difficulty ratings. All and all fantastic.
